![]() ![]() Of course, one has to wonder whether this is because of Activision Blizzard’s impending acquisition by Microsoft, even though that deal is still underway and won’t be wrapped up before sometime next year. Recently, artwork of the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was spotted on Steam as well, though it got promptly removed. This isn’t the first indication we’ve had that the shooter will launch for Steam as well. Not exactly official, but at this point, it’s as good as confirmed. Interestingly enough, the official Twitter page of Steam quote retweeted the Call of Duty tweet announcing the same, accompanied with a good old googly eyes emoji. Recently, Activision confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will get its full reveal on June 8. It is looking increasingly likely, however, that this year’s Call of Duty instalment will change that. ![]() For as long as anyone can remember, Call of Duty’s PC presence has been limited to Blizzard Entertainment’s launcher, which means that the far more popular Steam has been ignored by the franchise for years on end. ![]()
